Dota 2 and League of Legends are two most popular MOBA genre games and are the real rivals in the world of gaming. There are a lot of differences between these two games. League of Legends saw the world in 2009 and Dota 2 in 2013. League of Legends was created by Riot Games and Dota 2 by Valve Software. Let’s have a look at these two games closer and compare them.

Graphics

There are four years between LOL and Dota 2, it is a long period of time for the gaming industry. Graphics in these games is different, though Dota 2 is more modern and, obviously, has the better detailed graphics.

Sound effects  

Both games can boast with the great sound effects. Heroes of Dota 2 are more talkative. Both games invited the real actors to voice their heroes. League of Legends has more actions with the special sound effects, but music in Dota 2 is more epic and is of the higher quality.

Heroes 

Dota 2 has a really impressive number of heroes - more than one hundred and they all are available to play. There are only about ten heroes in the LOL and they are named - champions. Heroes in Dota 2 interact with each other, with objects more often and it makes the game more interesting and difficult. Heroes in LOL don’t interact so intensively with each other and the game is more balanced.

Process of playing

Playing process in these two games is different, but Dota 2 is more interesting to play because of the variety of heroes and their peculiarities and a great number of actions.

Summing up, it is possible to say that Dota 2 is the winner, though it is younger than League of legends. Developers of Dota 2 studied the League of Legends and made their conclusions how to improve the game, to make it one of the best MOBA games.
